Danijela

Danijela has worked in tourism since 2004 and is the founder of Freja Travel. She is half swedish and has lived in Croatia since 1998. She is an educated local guide and has the license to guide in Split-Dalmatia, Dubrovnik-Neretva and Šibenik-Knin county.  She is passionate about her heritage and loves to talk about culture clashes and the different traditions we have here in Dalmatia.

Danijela will get you in on all the local secrets and hideaways Dalmatia has to offer.

Lucija

Lucija has worked as a representative and Scandinavian speaking local guide since 2004. She is half Norwegian and moved to Croatia when she was 13 years old. Lucija studied tourism at the university in Zadar and has attended extra courses to become a licensed local guide for Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik- Neretva county. Lucia’s passion is food and wine, that makes her our expert on our wineing and dining excursions where she presents to you the magic behind wine production as well as stories about local delicacies from Dalmatia. She’s also now attending a sommelier course.

Marijana

Marijana has worked in tourism since 2010 and is today a local Scandinavian speaking guide for Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva county. Marijana has lived in Sweden for most of her life but for the last few years she’s been living on Makarska Riviera.  Her family is originally from north of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so Marijana speaks fluently both Croatian and Swedish. Her passion is history and with her, you will get a informativ excursion full with legends. Marijana’s second expertise are conferences and she is responsible for a big part of the office work.

Gabrijela

Gabriela is responsible for the economy and admin at the office. She started working in tourism in 2005 and in 2008 her love for Dalmatia made her stay here. She lives with her family and two children in Podgora. Gabriela has great language skills and is fluent in Norwegian, Croatian, Polish and English. Sometimes you will also see her in the field guiding an excursion telling you about nature and village life.

Hamo

Hamo works as a Scandinavian speaking local guide and representative since 2010 after he moved back to his hometown Split where he was born.He has live in Sweden for 17 years and is fluent in Swedish. Hamo has the license to guide in the Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva county. His passion is art and literature. He enjoys sharing stories about the different cities and towns and their beautiful architecture and art from the middle ages. This way the memories of old dalmatian poets continue living. With Hamo, you will get a full understanding about how the cities grew to what they are today and you will get a whole new perspective. Hamo works also as our English speaking guide.

Nina

Nina learned to speak Swedish just after few months working as aupair in Sweden. Today she is a licensed local guide and guides in Swedish, English and German. Her license covers the Split-Dalmatia and Dubrovnik-Neretva county. Nina is from north Croatia and tells you a lot about the differences in the different parts of the country.

Goran

Goran is from the little pitoresque village on Makarska Riviera, Podgora.He’s responisble for our excursions. During the summertime, he’s also the captain on the boat Odin. Goran loves fishing and diving, something he’s been doing most of his life and knows all the undiscovered areas and cozy beaches on the islands. If you want to taste some local cuisine, he will take you to hidden restaurants you can only get to by boat. Goran will show the calm and genuine part of Croatia.

Jakov

Jakov is born and raised in Makarska. He has studied Swedish at the university in Zagreb. He has continued his studies at the university to become a social worker and works at a school in Zagreb. During the summer he misses the riviera and comes here to work with us. You will meet him at the office during service and on transfers. He helps to put in place everything for our different types of groups, f.ex. bridge, boule, hiking group and mm. His good relationship with the hotels and locals in Makarska make him able fix anything. He speaks Croatian, English and Swedish.
